Clarinet Blues

My clarinet is in this still life, and this painting hangs in my studio now, but it has been around. It won an intenational award in a show at the Delray Museum in Florida and like Morey at the Base was in New Orleans during Katrina.

The negative space of the tree and its roots depict the birth of jazz with Jackson Square in the background. By using collage, it looks like I did some quilting on this one.
