Goddess of the Coral Leaf

The painting is mostly collage depicting the sun goddess from Aztec mythology. This sun goddess is painted and the coral and sea kelp is collaged lace.

Eve Was in the Garden, Too

Many artist paint Adam and Eve. Botticelli’s Birth of Venus in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, and Michelangelo’s David in the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence were my models.  No way does this compare to the originals, but they can lift your spirits. The originals are in my collection.

Greensboro, VT borders a lake with loons and trees with beautiful fall colors. Our family used to visit there every year. This painting was in an international show in San Luis Obispo.

I literally took the words from the song and painted it. Notice the humuhumunukunukuapuaa swimming by. They are the state fish. I use brochures that I find on the island and collage them for my palm trees. They make an interesting pattern.

Morgantown, Then and Now, Montage
